Hello! I am in Lofoten, hence all the touristic images of mountains and beautiful views. I am trying my very best to limit the amount of touristic photographs and trying to do what I came here for, which is working on my own project, but it is almost impossible to not stop and stare at the mountains and then pick up the camera although it all looks so much better in real life..but so far in my life, this is the most beautiful landscape I have seen. I am invited by the “Nordland Film and art school” to be an artist in residence for a month so I now live in a little town called Kabelvåg. Last weekend the Lofoten International Art Festival opened here and in neighbour city Svolvaer, there was a lot of fun things happening. I particularly liked the work of Leslie Hewitt which was one of the films screened in an old empty house. The festival was a bit of a treasure hunt, going on the search for works in old industrial buildings, the war museum and the library. It was the friendliest art event ever with just as much food for all the visitors and participants as there were art. I only wish I had a drivers license, it is a bit hard to cycle everywhere with cameras and tripod..
